Media and Communications Studies Visiting Professor Kirstie Hettiga’s research is the topic of an article in the Columbia Journalism Review. The article describes her stint as an intern for a small daily newspaper, which she used for her research on “experiencing error” and how journalists and newspapers deal with instances of factual error and the need for a correction. The resulting research was presented at The Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication’s 2011 conference.
