Chemistry and Biochemistry and Molecular Biology majors traveled with chemistry faculty to Bloomsburg University to present their research at the intercollegiate Student Chemists Convention.
Emma Cave 2012, Chemistry, won first prize in the Physical Chemistry Division for her talk, “Invesigation of the Use of Double-Walled Carbon Nanotubes in the Production of Organic Solar Cells” on research she carried out with Dr. Mark Ellison. Susan Butch 2012, Chemistry, presented a talk titled “Production and Characterization of a Designed Diiron Carboxylate Protein” on research she carried out with Dr. Amanda Reig. Katherine Greco 2012, BCMB, presented a talk titled “Internalization of Single-Walled Carbon Nanotubes in Saccharomyces cerevisiae” on research she carried out with Dr. Mark Ellison. Grace Soloff 2013, BCMB, presented a talk titled “Purification and Characterization of the Lectin-Like Domain of Thrombomodulin and Complement Component C3” on research she carried out with Dr. Julia Koeppe.
