Collegeville Economic Development Corporation (CEDC), which hosts Collegeville’s Main Street program, is planning its first Art & Music Festival for the community on Saturday, Oct. 13, from noon to 5 p.m. on Collegeville’s Main Street. Along with the CEDC, the event is also sponsored by Susquehanna Bank.
Art will be created at the event through a “Chalk it Up!” sidewalk art contest. The contest is for all ages in the following age divisions: 10 and under; 11 to 18; 19 to 55; and 56 plus. The event will also feature the work of local artists; the culinary masterpieces of local chefs; a kids’ fun area with games, face painting and a bouncy house; five music groups; dancers; and a beer/wine garden sponsored by DaVinci’s Pub.
Attention UC students: If you are an artist, crafter or musician, and you would like to show off your talents, there is no cost for you to participate in this event. This event is free to all talented Ursinus students as long as you are not selling anything. If you would like to sell your art or crafts, the cost to rent a table is $15.
