Career Services Director Receives Fulbright Grant

Director of Career Services Carla Rinde is the recipient of a 2012 Fulbright International Education Administrators grant, for which she will travel to Germany. Hers is one of  20 awards given to applicants annually from across the country. This short-term seminar program is designed to allow U.S. higher education administrators gain in-depth knowledge about Germany’s  higher education system, as well as to establish networks of U.S. and international colleagues. The goal is to gain new perspectives on the need to internationalize U.S. campuses and develop insights into how that can be done. The October program takes participants to Berlin for an introduction  to Germany and its higher education system through briefings, government appointments, campus visits and cultural events. During the second week, participants in smaller groups travel to other German cities. The program participants include full-time higher education administrators with significant involvement in international exchanges, career services, alumni affairs or dedvelopment and fundraising.
