Ursinus Web Director Paul Dempsey spoke at the J. Boye web and intranet conference on May 10 in Philadelphia. His presentation, “Digital marketing in a social world,” focused on the importance of designing e-mails to be viewed on mobile devices.
The session was part of a higher education track covering the key challenges facing web professionals from colleges and universities. An international organization for web professionals, J. Boye holds annuals conferences in Philadelphia and Aarhus, Denmark. See more about the presentation here.
Dempsey was director of electronic communication at Dickinson College for 12 years and has been developing web and internet services since 1994. He has made presentations on web-related topics at a number of professional conferences including edUi, CASE, CUPRAP, EDUCAUSE, HighEdWebDev, MSACROA, and AACRAO, on topics such as web site redesign, implementing content management systems, web form design, moving from print to electronic publications and using Google maps.
