Ursinus College has teamed with the Collegeville Economic Development Corp. (CEDC) to offer “Dinner and a Show,” with local restaurants offering dinner specials to individuals who attend designated performances at Ursinus College. The Philip and Muriel Berman Museum of Art’s spring exhibitions, Grass Roots: African Origins of American Art, and Jennifer Karady’s In Country: Soldiers’ Stories from Iraq and Afghanistan, are among the featured exhibitions in the Philadelphia Inquirer spring museum preview. Both exhibitions open Jan. 29. The Inquirer looks at museum and gallery shows of interest in the region.
The Philip and Muriel Berman Museum of Art will again open its doors to art therapists, museum educators, teachers, care partners, activities directors and social workers from Alzheimer’s care and assisted living centers, and general audience interested in learning how to integrate the arts more fully into the lives of those with disabilities. An all-Bach family program is planned for the next Heefner Organ Recital Feb. 17 at 4 p.m. in Bomberger auditorium, the location of the 62-rank Heefner Memorial Organ. The performance by College Organist Alan Morrison is free and open to the public. Read More
