The Creative Writing program at Ursinus College will host a poetry reading and book-signing with poet Brian Teare at the Berman Museum of Art on Monday, Nov. 11 from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. The event is open to the public.
A former National Endowment for the Arts Fellow, Teare is the recipient of poetry fellowships from the MacDowell Colony, the American Antiquarian Society, and the Headlands Center for the Arts. He is the author of the critically acclaimed collections The Room Where I Was Born, Sight Map, the Lambda Award-winning Pleasure, and Companion Grasses. He is also the author of seven chapbooks, most recently Helplessness, [ black sun crown ], and SORE EROS. An Assistant Professor at Temple University, he lives in Philadelphia, where he makes books by hand for his micropress, Albion Books.
