The U-Inspire! speaker series brings an entrepreneurship panel to Ursinus College Oct. 21 at 7 p.m. in Musser Auditorium, Pfahler Hall. The panel discussion, “Finding your own path: Four entrepreneurs share their success stories,” is open to the campus and the community. The speaker series is paired with U-Innovate!, a long-term grant including a competition with the goal of inspiring future business leaders. Paired with the U-Inspire speaker series, the initiative will include additional opportunities for students including community outreach programs.

Thomas P. Shivers, moderator, President and CEO of FourStone Partners, a leading sales management consulting firm specializing in executive level sales performance, sales strategy, and product design. He created a sales and consulting performance approach that has been praised for its innovation, effectiveness and efficiency. Shivers has been recognized as an industry leader for his focus on results, practical application and actionable solutions. He is also the CEO of Insight Labs, a pharmacogenetic testing company that concentrates on personalized pharmaceutical testing for appropriate prescriptions and dosage levels based on an individual’s unique genetic makeup. He was executive vice president for Healthcare Solutions, a healthcare cost management firm, and has held executive positions at Coventry, Concentra, and Aetna, where he was given the Chairman’s Award. Shivers was also a founder of MedRisk, the largest physical therapy cost management firm in the workers’ compensation industry. He graduated with a degree in economics from Ursinus College.
Robin F. Bond, an attorney, isprincipal of the Wayne, Pa., law firm Transition Strategies, LLC, with expertise in employment law matters. She is the author of How to Negotiate a Killer Job Offer, and contributing legal analyst and expert commentator for television network business and news programs, magazines and newspapers including CNN, FOX, the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Careerbuilder.com, Philadelphia Business Journal, Time, Forbes and US News and World Report. She is a frequent speaker on leadership, employment and the law to groups like The International Association of Corporate and Professional Recruitment, The Pennsylvania Governor’s Conference for Women, The Pennsylvania Bar Association, the Society for Human Resource Management and the Greater Philadelphia Women’s Leadership Forum. Named to the Pennsylvania Super Lawyers list for 2013, her career includes service with the Air Force as an attorney and legal advisor to the Air Force Surgeon General’s Staff, in-house legal counsel for Hahnemann University Hospital, and several other in-house legal positions. In addition to her private law practice, Bond serves on the PNC Bank Women’s Advisory Board and is a member of the Board of Directors of the Forum of Executive Women of Philadelphia. She earned a degree Phi Beta Kappa from Indiana University and a J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh.
Abby Kluchin is the Associate Director and a founding member of the Brooklyn Institute for Social Research, an experimental school that holds rigorous seminar-style courses in alternative spaces throughout New York City. She holds a B.A. with High Honors from Swarthmore College and an M.A., M.Phil., and Ph.D. in philosophy of religion from Columbia University. During the academic years 2013-2015, she is a Mellon CIE Postdoctoral Fellow at Ursinus College.
Roger Lee provides dance instruction, entertainment, marketing services, and merchandise as the owner and artistic director of Roger Lee Dance, LLC in Philadelphia. Since its 2012 debut, Roger Lee Dance has been featured on 6 ABC FYI Philly and PHL 17 Eye Opener Philly, named a top four finalist in the KYW and CBS 2013 Small Business Challenge, and was promoted at the inaugural Jay-Z Made In America Festival. Lee, a dance performer, choreographer, director, instructor, public speaker, journalist, and entrepreneur, graduated from Ursinus College with a B.A. in Dance and Media & Communication Studies before earning an M.S. in Arts Administration from Drexel University. He is also a graduate of the Philadelphia High School for the Creative and Performing Arts and Pennsylvania Governor’s School for the Arts. This summer he coordinated and choreographed the Philadelphia component of Dance The Dream, a global dance flash mob celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s “I Have A Dream” speech. Lee spent 3 years as a company member and marketing consultant for SHARP Dance Company and was a guest artist with Mid-Atlantic Ballet Company, West Chester Dance Works, and Chisena Danza. He has written articles for Dance Magazine and its annual College Guide,Dance/USA e-journal, Philadelphia Dance Journal, The Dance Enthusiast, Dance Advantage, and Examiner.com, and has taught hip-hop and jazz dance throughout Philadelphia, including Philadelphia Performance Art Center for Kids where he currently serves as assistant director.
