The 15th Annual Ursinus Fringe Festival kicks off Wednesday (Sept. 17) with acts homegrown and directly from the Philadelphia Fringe Festival. All events are free, and no reservations or tickets are necessary for performances. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.

DANCERS ON LOCATION
Tara Rynders, an interdisciplinary dance artist-in-residence at Ursinus for the week, provides “dance happenings” near Wismer around noon.

FRINGE CABARET (Blackbox Studio Theater)
Ursinus students and faculty take the stage to showcase their performing skills in this fun, entertaining and varied talent show.
Thursday, Sept. 18th
OPEN HIP-HOP CLASS at 7 p.m. and DJ DANCE PARTY at 8:30 p.m. (Blackbox Studio Theater)
Come learn new some moves to try out on the dance floor with master Hip Hop artist Clyde Evans, who will teach a Hip Hop dance class and, immediately following, he will DJ an open dance party. All levels are welcome for the dance class, the dance party, or both.

DRAG MAKE-UP SESSION (next to Room 142 Kaleidoscope)
Professional Lady Gaga impersonator and make-up artist Mary D’Knight shares her make-up secrets. Get a behind-the-scenes look at how a drag artist transforms herself.

DANCE CINEMA (Lenfest Theater)
The premiere of a new dance cinema work by international video dance artist Tara Rynders, featuring Ursinus students, followed by a selection of short films presented in partnership with the Sans Souci Festival of Dance Cinema, featuring work from around the world.

Philadelphia’s and New Hope’s favorite divas — Mary D’Knight, Summer Clearance, Stella D’Oro and Donna St. John — join hostess Miss Thunder Showers for an outrageous and wild drag show.
