James Wagner, the Director of Athletic Communications at Ursinus College, has been elected to the ECAC-SIDA Executive Board as the College Division Representative. The announcement was made at organization’s Annual Workshop, which was held late last month. Wagner will fill out the final two years of the term originally held by Mark Fisher of Carnegie Mellon University, who is now in the presidential rotation as the Second Vice-President.
Among Wagner’s responsibilities in his first year as a representative are to serve as a member of the Nominating Committee, the Membership Committee, the Rookie Committee and the Charity Committee, and he shall assist the membership chair in working to increase membership in the organization. He is also expected to assist the third year representative with updating, producing and publishing the Hometown Handbook, as necessary, and shall work with the past president to write bios and distribute press releases on the annual award winners.
Wagner has been at Ursinussince 2007. He has also been the sports information director at Holy Family University (2005-07), Widener University (2004-05) and Albright College (2001-02).
A 2001 graduate of Susquehanna University with a degree in Communications – Broadcasting, Wagner has also worked as a newspaper reporter and broadcaster.
