Last week, Ursinus College lost a friend, mentor and visionary leader in President Bobby Fong. We will celebrate his legacy at a service on Saturday, Sept. 20 at 11 a.m. in Bomberger Hall. Overflow seating will be available in Olin Auditorium. All are welcome.
Those unable to attend can view a live video stream of the service.
As we welcome you to Ursinus, please enter the campus through Fifth Avenue or Ninth Avenue as the main campus driveway will be closed. You will be directed to parking. We suggest being on campus by 10:30 to 10:40 to make sure there is time to walk to the center of campus to Bomberger Hall. Please join us for a reception on the front lawn after the ceremony.
The parking areas adjacent to the Unity House, Corson Hall, and between Stauffer and Facilities Services will be reserved for guests and special needs visitors. We suggest that faculty and staff connect with others to carpool, or walk to campus. Also recommended is parking in the West lot, or the Stearly Parking Lot at the corner of 1st Avenue and Main Street (just before Trappe Shopping Center).
If you need assistance getting around campus on Saturday, please call 610-409-3333. Staff will be on hand to provide golf cart escorts. Those who need special accommodations for parking can contact Maureen Cawley at email@example.com.
Bobby will be remembered as a down-to-earth and compassionate leader, scholar, and teacher, who always had the Ursinus College campus, Collegeville, and the higher education community at heart. We encourage you to continue to share your memories of Bobby at our tribute page. We are thankful that so many of you have already taken time to visit that page. The incredible response demonstrates the impact Bobby had on so many of us, whether we are parents, alumni, community members, colleagues or faculty and staff.
