Kozusko Speaks on Hamlet and Emotions at Phila. Library

Dr. Matt Kozusko of the English Department will speak on “Shakespeare and Genuine Emotion” May 21 at 6 p.m. at the The Free Library of Philadelphia, 1901 Vine St, Philadelphia PA 19103.
What is it about Shakespeare’s Hamlet–the play and its title character–that has held the attention and fired the imagination of audiences and readers for so long?  Drawing on assorted excerpts of performance, this talk looks at Hamlet as Shakespeare’s repository of human emotions–a play we turn to for a map of all that is to be human, from the hopeful to the hopeless to the profound to the terrifying.Click here to register for this free event.
