Music Faculty Presents Saxophone, Piano Recital

Ursinus Music faculty Holly Hubbs and John French will present a recital of works for saxophone and piano from their recent CD of clarinet transcriptions on Sunday, Sept. 21, in Bomberger Auditorium at 4 p.m. The program is free and open to the public.

The recital will feature Hubbs, Associate Professor of Music, on alto and soprano saxophone, and French, Professor of Music and holder of the William F. Heefner Chair of Music, on piano and organ. The program will feature work from the duo’s CD Crossing the Break. Featured composers are Alexander Gretchaninov, J. B. Loeillet de Gant, Charles Koechlin, and Louis Moyse. The program will also feature guest flutist Emily Black 2015, a music and neuroscience major.
